FORESTERS PLAYER PLAYS FOR ENGLAND !

8 Apr 2006

Tremendous acheivement for a current Foresters player

Following his selection to play for the under 13 Kent Prep. school football team earlier this year, Adam Carrick (one of our U12 stars)  was in the “Kent” team invited to play in an All England Tournament in Derbyshire over the weekend of the 26th to 28th March.

A key focus on the tournament was the selection of players to form a national squad.

From over 100 players, Adam was one of only 17 boys, chosen to play in the “England” Prep School team against the Walsall Academy team at the Bescot Stadium, home of Walsall FC the following night.

Adam played the whole game and did himself and his club Foresters proud especially as he was one of the youngest in the squad and a year younger then all the academy team.

This was a great moment for Adam and his family, and playing in a National team at such a young age will be something special he will value for the rest of his life.

The efforts of Foresters and Foresters coaches who have coached Adam from the age of six must be remembered and Adam’s achievement is not only a personal milestone, but one the whole Club should feel proud to recall.
