4 Tournaments, 4 Finals
T/Wells Foresters under 12s A added more medals to their collection over the summer .The team entered 4 tournaments winning 2 finals and losing 2.
The first came back in May where they won the pembury tournament by beating Tonbridge invicta 3-0 in the final.
Next came the Langton tournament where they lost the round robin final on goal difference by just 1 goal to Little Common.
The next tournament was at Jarvis Brook, which was on the same day as the England verses Portugal. To the credit of the boys they stayed focused on the job in hand and beat the hosts in the final 2-1 which was only the second goal they had concede in 9 games.
T/Wells Foresters under 12s finished their summer tournament program for 2006 with runners up medal in the Vinters Park 5 aside at Maidstone losing 1-0 in the final to a team from Medway.
At least the Foresters boys can do something the England team couldn’t. that was to win a penalty shoot out. Adam Bunyan, Ryan Waterman and Harry Tampsett slotted all 3 of theirs away. That just left it up to goalkeeper Alex Kibbey to keep them out which he duly obliged by saving their first penalty.
Darrell, Dave, Alan and Adrian would like to pass on their thanks to the players and parents for the commitment over the summer
