Crowborough League end of season report
14 May 2007
With all of the games now either completed or awaiting adjudication from the League I am delighted to report that Foresters have enjoyed a tremendous season in the Crowborough and District League.
Download here a table in word format which shows the standings in the CDJFL for each year group.
Some stats for the year:
130 games played
76 games won
16 Drawn
38 lost
530 goals scored (4.07 goals per game)
293 conceded (2.25 goals per game)
1 league Championship
6 top 4 or better League finishing positions
It is also worth noting that even with fixtures yet to be awarded Foresters will finish this season with 7 out of its 8 CDJFL teams in the top half of their respective Divisions. This is a truly great achievement by the players and coaches in each year group.
I have seen all of the teams play this season and I can honestly say that the commitment, enthusiasm and will to win from every Foresters player and coach was a joy to behold and I look forward to seeing the teams play again next season.
Congratulations on another great season with Foresters, enjoy the tournaments over the summer if you are taking part, otherwise enjoy the break from football and I look forward to seeing you all again next season to see if we can do even better!
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank George McCallum on behalf of the whole club for his many years service to Foresters FC. George ran the Under 16 side this season and had a terrific campaign. As the Under 16’s now move up to U18 next season they will play with a new manager at the helm. Thanks for your support and time over the many years involved with Foresters George.
