Match report v Monotype FC
Tunbridge Wells Foresters Fc Under 8 (6) v Monotype Fc (0)
Our away match to Monotype (Redhill) started of at a quick pace with Monotype on the attack straight away. The team defended well; with Tyler and Harrison at the back not much gets pass them. After 10 minutes we brought on William Sweatman and with his first touch (a good pass from Jarod) he scored.
The team then started to play good football, I would like to say that at 7 and 8 years old they all have a great understanding of how to pass and move. Jarod at one time could have shot for goal but he could see that William Sweatman was in a better position and passed and he scored.
There was a great run by Oliver Shine down the right who crafted a perfect shot which ended up in the back of the net and by half time Foresters were 4 nil up.
In the second half we brought Jake out of goal and put Alfie in goal and with the team still passing well we were 6 nil up half way through the second half. The last 5 minutes Monotype tried really hard to break us down with attack after attack we held our nerve and the whole team defended well.
It is good to see that we have not got any wanna be heroes jut a well worked team.
WELL DONE LADS
