Foresters hit 10!
15 Apr 2008
5 weeks of boredom end with a goal fest!
Foresters Under 8 (10) v Hamsley Rangers (1)
AT LAST we could play a game of football it has been over 5 weeks since our last match due to bad weather!
Hamsey Rangers only turned up with six players, so Toby offered to play for them to make it fair. In the second half Jake offered to play that half, I would like to thank both players for putting them self forward and playing for the visiting team.
Foresters lad's started the game with great energy and passion, the lads were passing well. After 3 minutes we were 1 nil up with a goal from Tyler (scored from taking a corner) soon after that Hamsey scored an own goal. Tyler and Freddie (1st appearance) were great in defence and they held their line and set pieces started from the back. Oli Bone was working hard in central midfield and was rewarded by a good goal. Harry Holford (1st appearance) had a few chances which were saved by the woodwork but finally scored a good goal. Jake came on as sub and almost scored only to be denied by the post (also he had two more great chance stopped by the woodwork, unlucky Jake). Toby as usual play well even if it was for the visiting team, so a big WELL DONE to you!
First half finished 4-0
Second half
Toby was back with his team and Jake kindly went to play for Hamsey Rangers, the lads started the second half with the same passion. .Jo Jo made some great runs down the left and set up a few goals, Toby scored his goal by his usual determination. Jarod scored two lovely goals by some good passing from his team mates and keeping his cool in front of goal. Tyler and Oli Bone both got their second goals, again great awareness from both players of what is around them. Hamsey scored by an unlucky deflection of Jarod's knee; there was nothing that he could of done about it. Freddie's first Tandridge came from a great save from the Hamsey keeper and a good clearance from their defence but Freddie was waiting out side the area. The ball came to Freddie and he hit it first time (great strike) and it ended in the back of the goal. I would like to thank William Hardwick (1st appearance) who was in goal, there was not much for him to do but when he was need he was there to smother any attack.
Second half finished 10-1.
This was a good strong performance from all the team, I would like to thank all the players who had there first Tandridge match I hope you all enjoyed it..
Well done lads
