Undefeated Season!

A hard act to follow?
Tunbridge Wells Foresters Under 8 Unbeaten This Season .It is Tunbridge Wells Foresters FC 25th Anniversary this year and this was Foresters Under 8s first season in the Tandridge League and we did not really know what to expect. We were told that the standard was high in the Tandridge league and we did certainly come up against some good teams. We played 18 games of which we won 14 and drew 4. Together as a team 90 goals were scored and only 8 goals conceded. This has been a great result for the team. Over the season the lads have really played some great football and have grown well as a team.
Let me introduce the team:-Our goalie Jake Hobart has been strong in goal, making some good saves.Defence has been the job of Tyler Adams and Harry Grice. With these two at the back it has been hard for any attacks to get through.Midfield - Oliver Shine has held his own on the left, both Oliver Bone and William Sweatman have found their place in centre midfield and Alfie Davies has proved his worth on the right.Attack has been the job of Toby Talbot and Jarod Smith, one with great determination and the other with great vision of the game. One of the greatest strengths with the team is that most of our players can play in any position. The best game of the season was against Redhill. We had played them before at home with a 1-1 result, so we knew that Redhill were a good team. From the start the Foresters lads wanted to win and with great passing and super defending, the result was 3-1 to Foresters.A big thank you goes to all of the teams' parents for their support over the season. We have played a match nearly every Sunday since September and without the parents' willingness to travel and support the boys, we would not have a team. The comment that I get in return from the parents is that it has been worth it to see the boys grow together as a team. Also a big thanks to our sponsor John Cook Butchers for the team strip.Lastly to Peter Robinson and Andy Smith who try and spot as many typo's prior to going on the web!
We train on Saturdays at Bayham and we will be holding trials for next season so just keep an eye out on www.forestersfc.com for more details. We also hold Football Camps in the school holidays with MasterClass Football and again all details can be found on www.forestersfc.com
