Tandridge U7’s at Langton Tournament

An impressive 2nd show
This was the Tandridge U7’s second Tournament of the season. The format was seven group matches of 4 minutes each way on a league basis against Tonbridge Juniors, Langton Green, Ridgeway, Tonbridge Invicta, Tonbridge Angels , East Grinstead and Forest Row with the top two teams from each group going through to the knockout stage. The results from the group stage were as follows:-

The team played well in all their group matches and as the results showed remained unbeaten during the course of the day with 6 wins and one draw which meant they finished top of their group.
During the group stages the boys scored a total of 18 goals and conceded none
Semi Final
TW Foresters 2 Broad Oak & Horam 0
In the semi-final Foresters played against Broad Oak and Horam and won by two goals to nil to set up a final against Tonbridge juniors.
The Final

The final against Tonbridge Juniors was a settled in the first half with two spectacular long range goals from Joe Pickett and Foresters held on the lead in the second half to win by a 2-0 scoreline.
Well done to all the boys on winning their first ever trophy. Especially well done to the defence for not conceding a goal all day and also a big thank you to Erik and Matt for sharing the majority of the Goalkeeping duties.
