A comfortable win in Crowborough

a strong, well organised Crowborough Team. The first 10 minutes was one way traffic with Crowbor ough having at least 4 clear opportunities to score .
As we have seen on a weekly basis last season with Foresters, they soaked up the pressure and then broke out of defence on a counter attack which finished in a goal supremely taking from outside the penalty area. The goal seemed to settle the nerves and Foresters then r elaxed back into a very good controlled game. At half time we were lucky not to be 3 – 0 down but as it was we were 1 – 0 up!
After a quick break the team came out resurgent and started playing some excellent football. We rained down shots from all over the pitch, and after only a couple of minutes, we secured a second goal. Disaster struck 5 minutes into the second half when we scored a spect acularly headed own goal giving Crowborough a lifeline and some impetus. For a few minutes it looked as though it could be a close game again.
However, on the break, Foresters came out fighting and scored a third ‘debut’ goal to settle everyone back down again. Then 5 minutes from the end they secured a fantastic victory with a brilliantly taken fourth goal.
It was a slightly flattering score-line, but nonethe less, an excellent result against Crowborough. Well done to the team and to all our supporters.
Foresters Girls are now unbeaten in the League in over 13 months! An unbelievable achievement at any level.
