Match Report - 10th November 2007

The winning way returns to the Under 12 Girls!

GIRLS UNDER 12s LEAGUE MATCH
At Tonbridge

SATURDAY 10th NOVEMBER 2007

Tunbridge Wells Foresters 3
Tonbridge Juniors 2

After the disappointment of our first ever league defeat against Paddock Wood two weeks ago, we got things back on track today with a highly deserved win against the Under 12 League newcomers, Tonbridge.

As I was not available to watch the game I am not able to provide a full and detailed match report, however I understand that Tonbridge were a very tricky team and had some good quality players.

A close affair saw Foresters take the lead first with an equaliser from Tonbridge soon after. Then two more quick goals left some daylight between us and them and we looked comfortable until the last few minutes when Tonbridge sneaked a second goal. Fortunately it was too little, too late and a fantastic 3-2 result in a close game.

A special mention is needed for our hat-trick hero, Millie Everett, who once again excelled and won the player of the match award. However, I would like to say a big well done to the whole team who played extremely well and confidently throughout the match. To score 3 goals against a strong defending team is just another indication on how much we have improved this season.

A job well done!

The next Under 12s match is away at Southdown AFC, Burgess Hill, on Saturday 24th November.
