Under 12s suffer unusual defeat

GIRLS UNDER 12s LEAGUE MATCH
At Southdown

SATURDAY 24th NOVEMBER 2007

Tunbridge Wells Foresters 1 Southdown AFC 6

On a miserable morning, after a miserable journey down to Southdown, I suppose the mood was set for a struggle against top of the table Southdown AFC. A struggle is what we got, suffering what was our heaviest ever defeat. Harriet Montgomery still managed to grab a goal, which was a consolation, and the less said about this game the better.

Unfortunately football does this to you sometimes, but we will not take anything away from the strength of the Southdown side which looked well organised and physical.

Well done to the girls for their efforts, the next Under 12s match is at home against Crowborough Athletic on Saturday 8th December.
