Well it’s a new year, but our winning ways look set to continue into the second half of the season. This was a masterful display of football with Foresters dominating from beginning to end.
Harriet Montgomery once again confirmed her goal scoring excellence with a double hat-trick, with some deadly finishing and unforgiving runs, Jarvis Brook could not contain her.
With only one slight lapse of concentration in defence, Foresters ended the first half with a well earned 5 – 1 lead. The second half started as strongly as the first, with Foresters adding 4 more goals.
Another small slip in defense let Jarvis Brook in to score their second of the game, and with all due respect to them, they never let their heads drop.
For the first time in their league careers, Nia Lewis and Hannah Lautch scored a goal each, with Mille Everett making up the 9. Foresters played with sheer dominance and some of the best passing I have seen this season. Well done to Annabel Lees for scooping player of the match for her support play up front.
A fantastic result for Foresters and we could still be in with a chance to win the Under 12s League as long as we keep up the pressure and determination that we showed today.
The next Under 12s match is at home against Paddock Wood on Saturday 26th January – a chance to get some revenge for the 2 – 0 defeat we suffered in Paddock Wood before Christmas!
