Another Semi-Final reached for girls in emphatic victory!

GIRLS UNDER 12s QUARTER FINAL CUP MATCH
At Bayham, Tunbridge Wells

SATURDAY 9th FEBRUARY 2008

Tunbridge Wells Foresters 9
Crowborough Athletic 3

On a beautiful sunny morning, Tunbridge Wells entertained Crowborough for the first time at Bayham’s ground. Following on from the Under 11s success last week, the Under 12s had an example to follow and that’s exactly what they did!

An emphatic win against a strong team in the girls league and another semi-final place secured leaves Tunbridge Wells Foresters on course for a cup and league double across both age groups! Superb performances at the back from Madalena Hernandez and Gabrielle Morris ensured that Crowborough’s attacks were thwarted each time. A few unlucky errors allowed Crowborough to sneak in with 3 quick goals, but Foresters were scoring at the other end.

Another superb display from Millie Everett, who is scoring goals for fun at the moment, saw her add another 5 to her tally this year which has now hit 25 goals in just 15 games! A fantastic achievement topped only by Harriet Montgomery who scored a cracking hat-trick taking her total for the season to 38 goals in 15 games! Pure class.

Gemma Rathmell sneaked a goal at the death to ensure a comfortable win and to underline the girls superiority in the Crowborough league this season.

Roll on the 8th March and Southdown in the Semi-Final. Well done to all the girls once again who have proved they can beat any team in this league!
