GIRLS UNDER 11s LEAGUE MATCH
At Bayham

Never before in my time as manager of the girl’s team have I felt so tense and nervous about a vital League game! The game was a tense affair with few chances at either end in the first half.
Foresters remained calm throughout the game, but never seemed to get the right break in front of goal. This was going to be a match of who had the strongest defence and with Rebecca Howie & Gabrielle Morris at the back in the first half, not much was going to get through.
The first half ended with a few alterations to be made. In the second half Foresters came out fighting and after 15 minutes Chelsea-Leigh Rix scored what could possibly be a goal that keeps our title hopes very much alive! A brilliant through ball from Emma Salter left Chelsea one on one with the Southdown goalkeeper, and she coolly smashed the ball home to secure all 3 points and ensures that Foresters are still yet to be beaten in the Under 11s League.
A superb performance from everyone, and player of the match, Gabrielle Morris, who played some of the best football she has ever played. Congratulations to her. Also it is worth mentioning a big thank you to Maisie Thomas who went in goal for the second half and held her nerve at the end to ensure Forester’s victory.
Next week is a double header in the Under 11s League against Paddock Wood. The roller coaster ride continues...
