A deserved win for the girls

Match Result - Saturday 15th November 2008

Tunbridge Wells Foresters 2 - 0 Jarvis Brook

A determined and professional display by Foresters earned them a well deserved victory over Jarvis Brook today.  Patience was the key and with well over 75% possession in the first half, Foresters were not able to break the dead lock.

The second half started very slowly, but finally a glimmer of brilliance from Nia Lewis and Emma Salter to combine for Emma's first of two goals which lifted the girls to raise their game.  Phoebe d'Albertanson was once again an inspiration to the team with some wonderful runs and solid tackles.  Hannah Lautch was in remarkable form as she amazed us all with some brilliant touches and some first class passing.

Emma was on hand to score the second mid-way through the second half and it was all over from them.  Another solid defending display from Madalena Hernandez, Rebecca Howie and Gabrielle Morris, and an overall thoroughly deserved win.

Well done to the girls who are slowly making their way up the league table to see if we can catch the runaway team that is Hastings.

Next up is Rusthall away on 29th November so we are looking forward to another brilliant show of football.

Keep it up everyone.
