Mustangs outrun the Colts
TWFC Mustangs 4 – 0 Warlingham Colts
A crisp bright, frosty morning greeted the teams at Hawkenbury for our much delayed 1st Round League Shield match.
From the outset, Mustangs made their intentions clear with a mixture of good passing, movement and mazy runs. Deadlock was broken after 7 minutes with a goal from Callum. A second was added on 15 mins courtesy of Liam.
At half time the team discussed the need to concentrate, keep passing and not let the other team off the hook. 2 minutes after the break, Callum added his 2nd and the team’s 3rd. Our pressure was relentless with shot after shot being blocked by Warlingham defenders and their goalkeeper (who really saved them from a much heavier defeat).
Our 4th came on 24 minutes from another excellent run and shot from today’s captain, Alfie.
Well done all on an excellent team performance!
