We continue on a good winning streak following the mid-season blip. Probably the first time in many months that the full squad has been available for the match. Foresters u14 went behind early I believe it was about three minutes. But came back strongly going into the break 4-1. A quick, flat, big pitch always suits us and today was no exception. The boys were excellent. We moved the ball quickly and a had a couple of periods of play where we held the ball ourselves for long periods of time.
It was a day when all the boys made big contributions to the match. Obviously James’ performance stands out as scoring a hat-trick from midfield is a special achievement. His third goal a quality first time strike with his left foot from the edge of the area.
Alex as usual terrorised the opposition defence with strong fearless running scoring twice, and George was again strong and composed at the back. Jack was rewarded for his persistence late in the game and .................Toby saved a penalty.
I can’t mention all the boys who played well because it was a real team performance. We played at the top of our game today, well done.
