Match Report - Foresters v Little Common

24 Apr 2006

Foresters pull off a spectacular comeback!

Tunbridge wells Foresters  u12a played Little Common at home this week needing a win after their disappointing 3-2 defeat to Jarvis Brook  midweek.

Foresters  defence struggled to cope in the first half with Little Common completely smothering the back four with their through-ball tactics which resulted in Foresters finding themselves 4-0 until George Lawson made it 4-1 just before half time.

Foresters had it all to do in the second half and came out a different team, and it wasn’t long before a great move from midfield drove across the box a fierce daisycutter which fell to George Andrews who sidefooted  it home to make it 4-2.

Foresters never looked back and a barrage of goals followed with 2 goals from Harry Tampsett and without question the best goal of the season so far came from Jordan Thomas cracking one home from a free kick at least 25 yards out.

Little Common scored to make it all square at 5-5, but the Foresters youngsters dug deep and with minutes to go pulled off an amazing victory when Adam Bunyan scored to make the final score 6-5 to Foresters. Overall a fantastic comeback from the reds who look back on form after their poor start to the game.
