Match report

21 Feb 2007

Foresters went to Balham on Sunday after last weeks rain affected postponement and with the home side leaping above Foresters last week and with the squad reduced to the bare bones it was going to be a hard game and so it proved to be Foresters started brightly and started to put pressure on the home side after 10 minutes, they were awarded a corner which was delivered by Luke Mathias and met by Adam Bunyan 1-0 to Foresters they continued to pressure the home side and after 25 minutes were awarded another free-kick a low driven cross from Jordan Thomas was met at the far post by the ghost (Ryan Waterman) 2-0 the home side had time to put pressure on foresters and with a ball over the top they scored 1-2, with only seconds remaining the home side were awarded a penalty 2-2.

In the second half and the home side had plenty of possession which Foresters did well to withstand great work from a makeshift defence of Ben, Chris, Callum and Lewis with the dependable Kibbey in goal Foresters got into the game and got a breakaway with the ball crossed in, a deflection from the home defence 2-3 foresters were in front and with the home side putting pressure on for the last five minutes Foresters held out for a great away win.

Another great squad performance.
