A confidence boosting win
TUNBRIDGE WELLS FORESTERS u13A: 4
WANDLE WANDERERS u13A 1
Foresters continued their campaign in the Tandridge league and with several draws behind them the pressure was on this week for a win to boost their confidence.
It was a positive start for the youngsters when Josh Beech opened the scoring after 10 minutes. This seemed to drive Foresters towards a more attacking game and with great link up play Wandle Wanderers struggled to contain them.
A knife through butter was the only way to describe the way Foresters cut open Wandles defence, passing the ball at will and carving out chance after chance.Adam Bunyan added a second just before halftime to give Foresters a 2-0 cushion.
Second half was much of the same with Foresters passing the ball with ease and looking to score with every chance.Wandle seemed to be constantly back pedalling, defending deep and conceding large chunks of possession.
A dramatic volley from Josh beech put the home side 3-0 in the lead.Wandle tried to counter Foresters attacks, but this was soon stopped by a solid Foresters defence. Adam Bunyan scored a further goal after a great ball from Jordan Thomas to give Foresters a commanding 4-0 lead.Wanderers managed a goal near the end but this was too little too late.A strong team performance all-round this week.
