10 men put in a gutsy performance

Kent Youth Cup (under 15's) - Folkestone Invicta 5 v Tunbridge Wells Foresters 2

Leaving a snowy Tunbridge Wells on Sunday morning a depleted Foresters squad (10 players) who play in the Crowborough league headed off to take on a full strength Folkestone Invicta side who play in the Kent league.

The match kicked off in heavy rain and a strong wind (weathers getting better !!) and it was soon clear that this was a strong and well organised Folkestone side. Were Foresters going to be over run?

However, Foresters were not going to give up this match up without a fight and as time passed by Foresters got more confident and stronger and by half time were only 2-1 down. Adam Finch was credited with the Foresters goal.

The second half saw no let up in the weather and no let up the Foresters determination to match Folkestone's skill and strength and at times Foresters took the upper hand. But at the final whistle cold, wet and tired they concede defeat 5 - 2. The second Foresters goal was a well taken individual effort by Will Veljovic.
