Foresters 4 Battersea 2
After a rather unlucky start to the season with long term injuries to 2 players and alot of games where we have been on the wrong side of the right result.We have finally cracked it.
We started very positively and had 2 chances before we went 1 up, five minutes later it was 2 - 0, by half time we were 3 - 1 up and our half time talk was to keep our shape and continue as we had been doing.
The 2nd half as expected was difficult, but we fought well and showed heart and commitment, finally finishing the game 4 - 2 winners.
The main point of this match report is to say a huge well done to all the boys for not giving in all season, carrying on with training and playing football the way it should be played. Both Paul and I kept saying " keep playing football and it will come, our luck has got to change ". Well finally it has!!
Once again well done to all the boys (and their parents as well for supporting them ) and lets carry on now and show this Tandridge league what us country boys can do. I am very proud of all of you.
