U7's read on...
Hope you are all well and the kids are starting to get as excited about Saturday morning as I am!
Here are few more answers to questions you might have........
1. Shin pads. They must be worn at all times when playing and training (I always carry a few pairs with me so if you forget ask) THESE MUST BE WORN UNDER YOUR SOCKS. NO SHIN PADS NO PLAY!
2. Tea hut. We are expected to take our turn to man the tea hut (9.30 till 12.00), SO KEEP YOUR EYES OUT FOR THE DATES - remember it is warm and dry in the hut!!
3.Rain jackets. I am still hoping that some one is going to sponsor rain jackets for the players, we can then subsidise them.
4. Boots. Now we are finally getting some rain! you will probably be thinking of buying football boots, the advice being passed down to me is to stay away
from blades and go for the stud type, if you want more info just ask, and don't forget 'THE COACH LOVES CLEAN BOOTS!'
5. Refreshments. A drink (no fizzy drinks), a snack (banana, cut up apple etc, no crisps).
When the weather turns it will be essential that your child is prepared, so as well as a drink and SHIN PADS your child should have...
A. Warm top - a water proof jacket won't be enough to keep them warm so a sweatshirt / fleece / tracksuit type thing will be needed.
B.Long trousers - track suit bottom's not jeans!
C. Gloves - 2 or 3 pairs so they can change them when they get wet!
D. Hats. somebody asked if we were selling hats this year, I do have some red beanie hats with foresters embroidered on them (£6 each), if you think you might want one just ask me I usually have them in the car.
It's easy for your child can take stuff off if they get to hot! AND PLEASE REMEMBER IF YOUR CHILD TURNS UP UNPREPARED THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STAY. THIS IS A CHILD PROTECTION MATTER SO PLEASE DO NOT PUT ME ON THE SPOT! and as always 'THE COACH LIKES CLEAN BOOTS'
All the best
