TJFC DIRECTIONS

Here are the directions:

Venue: Regal Pavilion, [the very middle of the] Racecourse Ground,
Tonbridge, TN9 1DS
Parking: council-run parking at Tonbridge swimming pool. It is pay and
display and so you'll need some change. Parking is limited and can be very
busy, and so I really would recommend that your parents car-share if
possible. If you display a TJFC logo alongside a 2-hour parking ticket
(for this car park only) you can stay as long as you like. To obtain a
TJFC logo visit www.TJFC.co.uk and click on ‘Information’ in the red
banner on the front page, click on ‘Parking' from the drop-down list, then
click on ‘TJFC Logo’.
Directions from Tunbridge Wells:
Go past Tonbridge railway station (on your left), straight on for 400
metres through the high street and over the river Medway bridge (castle on
your left), after 50 metres turn left into Castle Street (right next to
Nat West bank and sign-posted ‘Council Offices and Swimming Pool’) -
beware that if you miss the turn it is then a pain in the arm to turn
around), after 30 metres at the T-junction turn left, follow the road
[round to the right], after 20 metres turn left into The Slade (right next
to Slade school). The car park is straight ahead. Try to park as near to
the far end as you can.
Directions from Maidstone:
When you reach the 30mph speed limit in Tonbridge the main road (the A26)
will be sign-posted off to the left at a set of traffic lights through the
industrial estate, but you need to be in the right hand lane [which
continues straight ahead]. Follow this road (Bordyke) until you reach a
set of traffic lights at a crossroads; The Ivy pub / restaurant will be on
the corner on your left. Turn left at these lights on to the High Street.
Continue for 400 metres and at the Rose & Crown Hotel (on your left) there
is a right-hand turn (which is next to the NatWest bank) sign-posted to
‘Council Offices and Swimming Pool’; this is Castle Street - beware that
if you miss the turn and end up crossing the river then you've gone too
far (and it's then a pain in the arm to turn around). After 30 metres at
the T-junction (at Warners solicitors) turn left. After 50 metres turn
left into The Slade (right next to Slade primary school). The car park is
straight ahead. Try to park as near to the far end as you can.

Directions from car park to the pavilion:
There is a foot bridge across the river, right next to the ramp that the
canoeists use. Cross over the river and walk across the playing field,
heading off to your right ever so slightly. The Regal Pavilion is situated
approx. 250 metres away - just the other side of the long hedge. It is the
only major building in the park, and is next to a gap in the hedge, so you
should see it easily.

Further info:
The games are scheduled to be played on pitches MF15 and MF16. If you are
standing in the doorway of the pavilion the two pitches are those on the far left. You can find a layout of the pitches on the TJFC website
(click on ‘Information’ and the click on ‘Pitch Allocations/ Pitch layout’, then '2015 Pitch layout'). Also there is usually a pitch layout on the screen in the pavillion.

There are changing rooms, a canteen and toilets in the pavilion. If you
need to use the changing rooms, turn right as you enter the pavilion and
it is the first left (past the racks where the goal nets are kept). The
canteen sells tea, coffee, bacon rolls, cartons of juice, sweets, etc.
which are all very reasonably priced.
