KGLFL U14 Girls - Match 4

A massive shout out to the girls this week. Fielding 8 players as a result of half-term absences and two new starters in Mimi Hodges and Georgia Conroy, the girls played with vigour, commitment and energy. Each half was almost identical, a goal down mid-way through the half, with a slight lack of concentration going a second down just before the half was drawing to a close, and then, by my watch, seconds after the half should have closed an unlucky 3rd goal down. So 3-0 down in each half. But, in between, a really strong work ethic and team effort. A strong defensive and midfield display from our captain of the day, Matilde Marshall, and great tracking back from midfielder, Rosie Scott, including a fabulous goal-line clearance from her in the second half. Under pressure, we struggled to create enough goal shooting chances, but that will come. The team is getting stronger.
