Foresters Ladies were unstoppable when they hosted a friendly against Diamond United. The newly formed ladies team found themselves 5-0 up at half time and were in control of the game throughout.
Foresters started the game quickly and it wasn’t long before they had their first goal. Becky Mackley found herself in acres of space down the left-hand side and coolly slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
Foresters passing game caused Diamond all sorts of problems and after a quick succession of passes Mackley found herself on the scoresheet again. In another move, Lauryn Underhill stole the ball from the spilling hands of the keeper and slotted home.
As the first half came to a close, Mackley scored two more well-worked goals and Becky Janes got on the scoresheet after a darting run from the halfway line, firing the ball low across the keeper.
Foresters carried their momentum over into the second half and Sara Walker who was denied by the woodwork earlier in the first half, fired a looping shot from 15 yards which found its way into the top corner.
Walker scored two more well-worked goals to complete her hat-trick and further goals from Janes and Mackley completed the rout.
