KGLFL U14 Girls - Match 3

The U14 Girls fought hard in this tough match against a very physical team.

Not quick enough to the loose ball in the penalty area meant the scoreline did not reflect the real balance of play. However, the girls should be proud of the way played together. They ran and tackled with huge energy and at times played some really lovely football. Proud to see two well-executed goals; the first by Amalie Jacques who put us into the lead after some really assertive attacking by the team - a really well struck goal. The second was from Orla Leech - in only her first game of the season. After a little bit of penalty area scrambling the ball came to Orla, who was nicely positioned outside the box; even before she struck it, I just knew it would fly into the back of the net. And it did!
