KGLFL U14 Girls - final match before Christmas

Stand-out performances from all players this week. And four goals scored!

An evenly contested match, the girls bounced back from going two goals down and showed grit, determination and true sense of character to keep battling and end the contest level at 4 goals a piece. First goal for the club for Melissa McPherson, a lovely struck goal from Amelia Mitchley and an inspired second half performance from Matilde Marshall landing her two beautifully taken goals.

It wasn't just the goal scorers that made this game such a triumph to watch; some outstanding performance from the defence including Katie Child, Maisie Lagden and Rosie Scott. And a true captain's performance from Ines Kroes.

We've struggled this season as the girls have been getting used to playing with each other. However, this was the performance we've been waiting for. It's been building up over the last couple of games and today I saw a team out there that wanted to play for each other. Marvellous!
