A Dramatic Draw

A complete team performance. Minster have dropped down from Division 1 and seem to be easily beating the Division 2 teams. And then there's Foresters FC. We kept our heads, we kept our shape. We battled for every ball and we showed commitment right to the end. Faced with a very shouty opposition, who, when we scored our dramatic and final equaliser 3 mins from the end, had an assistant coach and their goalkeeper sent-off. And then there's our goalkeeper. Our regular was absent and Gracie - who'd never played in goal - bravely stepped in, and she was sure brave, making plenty of stops. Excellent defending by Maisie and Harriet, who both had to come off injured in what was a physical game. And excellent defending by Georgia - our rock and last line of defence. Charlotte and Georgie got the better of the midfield, really strong performances. And 3 well-taken goals from Annabel, and I must mention the lovely free-kick that hit the woodwork. I know I haven't mentioned all 13 girls that played on Sunday, that's not to say they're not stars; they too were superheroes and put in great performances to deliver our best team performance of the season.
