Win in the final game confirms 2nd place

After a very shaky start (2-0 down after 6 minutes), the first half was full of tension and miscoordination. We were out-played and out-run. It needed a system change at half time, and a reminder to have the other team chase the ball, in what were very hot conditions, to save our energy.

And the turnaround began, 10 minutes into the second half we were 3-2 up and rounded the half off with two excellent goals. One from a corner with Georgia converted in classic-Georgia style and the other from Annabel to complete her hat-trick with a shot that blasted on the underside of the crossbar. The other goalscorer, Becky, deserved her goal after an excellent game in midfield and after a lovely effort in the first half that took the top-side of the crossbar and would have been a beauty if it had gone it. In the meantime some excellent and brave goal-keeping from Olivia to keep us on top.

Division runners-up with a good margin above 3rd place. An excellent season and a team that continues to show huge progress. Well done all.
